LA River Ultrarun Training Plan (July - Sept 2024)
This training plan is to provide guidance to those who have been running with a weekly mileage that can get you to a level where it may be more likely to have the ability to complete the LA River Ultrarun. Easy runs on Monday and Friday are important to get your legs moving, but not so much as to strain yourself. Tuesday rest day so that you have a least one day a week where you are recovering and giving your muscles time to heal. Wednesday Hills will give you strength. Thursday fast runs will continue to give you more strength. Saturday and Sunday long runs will be tiring back to back days, but prepare you for how hard it will be in the later half of 54 miles.
